If you’re a 90s baby, then you’ll surely recall the hit telefantasya series, Mulawin, which aired on GMA-7. It starred talented actors and actresses such as Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez who played the lead roles of Alwina and Aguiluz respectively.
Almost everyone was captivated by the show’s charm with its surreal characters sporting wings and human features alike.
Unfortunately, like all good things, the show eventually came to an end in 2004 which made fans crave for more.
Good news for every Mulawin addict because the much-awaited sequel is about to hit your TV screens soon!
Last March 27, GMA announced the return of the hit telefantasya series which will be entitled Mulawin vs. Ravena. Unlike the old Mulawin, however, new actors and actresses will reprise the role of some famous roles. One of those is Heart Evangelista-Escudero.
Heart will reprise the role of Alwina, the female protagonist formerly played by Angel Locsin who is now working with ABS-CBN.
Carla Abellana was also announced to reprise the role of Mulawin Aviona, the character previously played by Bianca King who is also currently working with ABS-CBN.
Meanwhile, Dennis Trillo will return to play his character, the Ravena Gabriel who is now known to be the king of Halcoria.
Michael Tanfelix was announced to come back to portray his role as Mulawin Pagaspas while Bianca Umali will play the grown-up Lawiswis which was originally played by Sam Bumatay.
Other new main characters set to star in the Mulawin sequel are Lovi Poe as Magindara, goddess of water and daughter of Sandawa, TJ Trinidad as Greco, Bea Binene as Anya, daughter of Aviona, and Derrick Monasterio as Almiro, son of Alwina and Aguiluz.
Supporting characters include Kiko Estrada, Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, Joko Diaz, Regine Velasquez, Tom Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Chynna Ortaleza, and Charee Pineda.
