Now that Jake Ejercito was finally revealed to be the father of Andi Eigenmann’s daughter, Ellie, the boy is not backing out. Especially not after Andi sparred with him on Twitter, nope.
In fact, he’s even more determined than ever to claim his own flesh-and-blood.
Philippine Entertainment Portal revealed that Jake filed a petition for joint custody with his daughter Ellie in the San Juan Municipal Trial Court.
According to Jake’s representatives, he wants his visitation rights with Ellie to be deemed as legal. Attorney Ferdinand Topacio stated that Jake filed the petition last March.
He said in an interview, “Sa San Juan court ito, kasi meron na silang special court for juvenile and domestic relations. Ang tawag nito ay family court. Parang sa mga ganitong dispute, dun pumupunta."
Topacio also stated that if Andi didn’t make such a fuss in the public, then Jake wouldn’t create a ruckus as well.
He continued, “No one would have known, e. Walang nakakalaam, e. Siya lang naman ang bibigyan ng summons, e, hindi naman public yung summons.”
"Pinagkabilin-bilin nga namin na kapag binigyan, quiet lang. Pinakiusapan namin yung mga personnel nung court, for the sake of the child na, 'Can we keep it as a secret?'”
"Pero wala na, the cat is out of the bag, so to speak,” the attorney said. "Ano pang magagawa natin?"
Meanwhile, Andi rebutted to Jake’s move and said, “And for me kasi, parang na-alarm ako kasi, my God, ano ba 'yan!”
“Hello, lumalaki na si Ellie, she’s five years old. And before anything else, do you really think that exposing her to this kind of limelight, to this kind of parang… di ba, ka-cheapan, will be good for her?”

The actress continued and said that if Jake was really doing it for Ellie, then she would’ve been more convinced.
Andi claimed, "If this is really because you just love your daughter and you want what’s best for her, I also want that agreement, I also want that joint custody."
Jake’s camp also revealed that Andi once lied to Jake about Ellie’s graduation date. Topacio said, "Yung graduation ni Ellie, nag-text si Andi sa ate ni Jake, si Jerika Ejercito, na 27 daw ng March ang graduation ni Ellie, at birthday rin yun ni Jake and he’s so welcome.”
"Tapos, nalaman nila na [March] 24 pala, tapos na. Sabi nila, 'Ano yun? Bakit ganun?' They were so looking forward to it, they were greatly disappointed,” he continued.
