Earning over PHP 541 million in just a span of 11 days, the live-action adaptation of 'Beauty and the Beast' has captivated the entire country.
In addition to the hype created by Walt Disney Studio's blockbuster film, singers Ariana Grande and John Legend performed a stunning cover of the classic song originally sang by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson in 1991.
The remake features stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens.
Now, singers Kristel Fulgar and Marlo Mortel join the hype as they too crafted their own rendition of the classic hit song. The cover was originally posted on the Kapamilya actress' Youtube channel, gaining over 215,000 views and more than 5,000 likes as of this writing.
Both singers were showered with praises for their performance.
However, not everyone shared the sentiment as a handful of cynical netizens pointed out the pair's lack of blending.
"Hindi ko malaman kung sino ang melody sa kanila.. sa dulo lang sila nag be-blending ng tama," Genny Rose Sta. Maria pointed out.
"It is not the best cover but it isnt that bad , why cant they just sing naturally?," commented Claudine Constantino.
