Coco Martin Obviously Positioning Himself As The New Fernando Poe Jr. For Today's Generation Of Millennials

IT’S OBVIOUS that Coco Martin is really positioning himself as the replacement of Fernando Poe Jr. for today’s generation of millennial viewers. After TV audiences have accepted him as the reincarnation of Da King in the small screen version of “Ang Probinsyano”, he’s now all set to do his own big screen version of FPJ’s iconic “Ang Panday”, never mind if Jericho Rosales and Richard Gutierrez have had their own not so successful versions of this on TV. Bong Revilla has also done this in the movies.

Carlo J. Caparas, the author of “Panday” is so happy to give the rights to this creation of his to Coco, endorsing it with his wholeheartedly approval. And just like the late FPJ, Coco will be directing his own movie now. FPJ himself directed his own “Panday” franchise, which went up to “Panday IV”, all of which were blockbusters at the annual Metro Manila Film Festival.

Coco’s film version is also intended to be an entry in the Metro filmfest later this year. And since his “Ang Probinsyano” has already been announced to be extended until 2018, then that means he will have to work overtime and divide his attention once he starts shooting the new movie version of “Panday”.

Needless to say, that will entail a lot of backbreaking work, so good luck to Coco and here’s hoping he won’t have overfatigue with the tons of work that he would be facing both on TV and the movies.
