According to her, she said "I don't want to get married. Maybe when I'm 40, gusto ko anak muna. And I talked to my parents about it already, and I just have to find a partner na may good genes."

Ellen is a few months away from turning 29 and she claimed that she wanted someone with a high IQ and a tall height to compensate for her petite structure. She even said that she already has someone in mind, an ex-boyfriend.

"I'm really gonna get pregnant, promise. Meron na akong ka-deal," she said. Ellen added that her ex-boyfriend is a foreigner. "I have to like him, at least like him. May connection man lang. Hindi naman 'yong pupulutin ko sa gilid-gilid lang."

The actress noted that just like any woman, she wanted to get married and have children with the person she loves, but now, she has no idea. She claimed that she doesn't really know if her target age would be 30-years-old and added that she prefers having a child first before having to settle down with a man.

Judges and Mentors Explain Why Maxine Medina Didn't Win Miss Universe!

Following the loss of Maxine Medina in the recently concluded 65th Miss Universe, some of the judges took time to take note why the Philippines' bet didn't make it to the top 3.

While many of Medina's mentors and judges agreed that she was "one of the prettiest" contestants the Philippines has ever sent to the Miss Universe, she fell short on some things.

Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes, one of the judges, said: "She's beautiful and she was very classy also, but even though she had the crowd supporting her, I think she was lacking something,"

"I don't know what but there was something missing,"Lopes added.

Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran thinks that she "lacked confidence in answering and also understanding the question that was asked."

Judges and Mentors Explain Why Maxine Medina Didn't Win Miss Universe!

Medina was chosen to be the first to answer in the question and answer portion and got the question: "What is the most significant change you've seen in the world in the last 10 years?"

Medina answered: "In the last 10 years of being here in the world, I saw all the people bringing in one event like this in Miss Universe. It’s something big to us that we are one. As one nation, we are all together. Thank you. Maraming salamat po."

"You could see that she was scared. You could feel it," said Moran.

On the other hand, Jonas Gaffud, the pageant trainer who worked with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Maxine Medina, shared that the home court advantage wasn't an advantage at all.

But Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, who criticized Medina before the pageant, defended her, saying that she shouldn't be bashed with the answer she gave.
"The question was very difficult. I thought to myself, what would I have said? Until now I cannot think (of an answer)," Diaz stated.

"Like I've always said, winning Miss Universe doesn't make you the most beautiful. It doesn't mean you're the smartest. It just means you're the luckiest," Diaz added.

After Gloria Diaz Criticized Maxine Medina, Did the 1969 Miss Universe Really Impress in Her Q&A Portion? Must Watch!

The first ever Filipina to win the Miss Universe crown, Miss Gloria Diaz, made headlines weeks before the 65th Miss Universe coronation night because of her strong recommendation for Miss Philippines Maxine Medina to get her own interpreter.

In a news report released by ABS-CBN, the 1969 Miss Universe insisted that Maxine should express her answer for the pageant's Q&A round in her own vernacular language. She also claimed that speaking in Filipino during the pageant's Q&A portion will not make her any less of a beauty queen.

"This is the first time I will meet Maxine and the first thing I will tell her is to get an interpreter if she feels that she can better express her thoughts using our vernacular language. She is a Filipina and I don’t think it will make her less of a beauty queen if she will decide to use our language on the grand coronation," Diaz sad through a social media post.

Gloria received criticism when she claimed that Maxine only had a one-in-a-million chance of winning the prestigious pageant. In an interview with ABS-CBN News' Marie Lozano, the former beauty queen shared her opinions as to why she thought Maxine would not be crowned the victor.

It turns out she was right.

Her statements drew the ire of many netizens. Some of them couldn't help but scrutinize Diaz's answer in her own Q&A portion in the 1969 Miss Universe.

Kung makapagsalita akala mo ang ganda ng sagot niya during final Q and A"

Jhastine Diaz: "Yung panahon nga niya, walang kwenta sagot niya e. Makapagjudge na feeling expert"

Gloria's comments on Maxine urged many netizens to look back at how she herself handled her own Q&A round in 1969.

Back when the pageant's production was still relatively simple and when the stage was less grandiose, the questions were decidedly less political.

The Top 5 finalists were asked: "In the next day or so, a man will land on the moon. If a man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him?"

Diaz' winning answer was very direct and simple. She said: "Oh, just the same things I do. I think if he has been on the moon for so long, I think when he comes over he wants to change, I guess."

At the time, her plainly specific answer was enough for the judges to hail her the victor.

However, Diaz's victory was followed by controversy as rumors of the pageant being rigged in favor of the Philippines started to spread.

In a blog post written by globalbeauties.com, some people considered it a political victory. Because the Philippines was unhappy about their participation in the Vietnam War, the USA reportedly used the 1969 Miss Universe victory to calm Filipinos.

The post also noted that the 1969 Miss Universe was not a hot topic when it happened as people were more focused on the news about Apollo 11, the shuttle that carried the first men to the moon.

Julia Montes Denies Move to GMA! 'Inaalagaan po ako ng ABS-CBN.'

Kapamilya actress Julia Montes denied the rumors that she plans on transferring to rival network GMA-7 after the series finale of her ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye 'Doble Kara'.

Rumors surfaced when multiple newspapers published Julia’s intention to move to the Kapuso Network.

During the series finale's press con on January 30, the 21-year-old actress quelled the rumors when asked by a popular news site.

“At inaalagaan po ako ng ABS-CBN and Dreamscape, nina Sir Deo, so wala pong ganun.” She added.

She was referring to Deo Endrinal, head of ABS-CBN’s business unit Dreamscape.

A: “Yes, opo,”

"Honestly kasi, parang never din naman sumagi sa akin from the very start. Siguro noon naisip ko na tumigil mag-showbiz, pero hindi lumipat." Julia continued.

“Kasi, from the very start, naramdaman ko naman na never akong napabayaan ng network, tapos from Star Magic hanggang naging Cornerstone po ako. Especially na Dreamscape, na lahat ng trabaho ko na under sa kanila." She said.

“Pati rin po sa Star Cinema, yung mga movie na naibibigay sa akin. Napagkakatiwalaan po ako ng mga ganun, so wala, hindi po sumagi sa isip ko.” She added.

Julia said she couldn't bring herself to break the trust ABS-CBN and Dreamscape have in her – especially when she was dubbed their “Daytime Drama Queen.”

The nickname comes from her consistently high national TV ratings as well as her show 'Doble Kara' having the number one spot in daytime television. This is based on data collected by Kantar Media.

When asked about her new nickname, Julia had this to say:
“Hindi po sumagi sa isip ko at sa dream ko na mangyayari po ito."

“Kaya nga sabi ko, sometimes talaga, kapag nagdarasal ka, overflowing talaga yung ibinibigay sa iyo ng Diyos. So, iyon po, unexplainable yung pakiramdam. Ang sarap lang din po sa pakiramdam dahil mas lalo po akong na-inspire na pagbutihin ko pa po kada role, kada trabaho na ginagawa ko." She continued.

"Kasi, para sa kanila iyan, para sa mga nagbigay sa akin nito.” She added.

Julia was then asked if she had any concerns about her nickname. Specifically, she was asked if ABS-CBN was typecasting her into roles specifically made for afternoon teleseryes.

The actress said she had no problems working afternoons or evenings.

"Kahit po midnight, okay lang sa akin, basta po may trabaho ako at nasusuportahan po ng mga tao, natutuwa yung mga tao. Yung habang nanonood sila, nagiging part na sila ng buong kuwento.”

The Kapamilya star confirmed her involvement in a new Dreamscape project. She was excited about her new role and invited everyone to eagerly await its announcement.

DISGRACE UNDER PRESSURE? This Is Probably The Most Hilarious Q&A Portion In The Entire History of Binibining Pilipinas! Must Watch!

In every beauty pageant, the Q & A round is probably the most awaited part of all.

It tests the contestants' abilities to handle pressure and to think of a comprehensive answer to a question within a limited amount of time.

It really measures their intelligence, a major factor when considering them as the title holders.

In this 2008 leg of Binibining Pilipinas, one candidate really stood out. The ever-confident candidate #15, Janina San Miguel, became a sensational news topic after the pageant's coronation night because of her hilarious performance in the Q&A portion.

During the pageant, Janina already won two major awards; best in Long Gown and best in Swimsuit

When it was the time for the Q&A, host Paolo Bediones let Janina randomly pick Lucio Tan's daughter, Vivienne Tan, to pose the question: "What role did your family play for you as a candidate to Binibining Pilipinas?"

Jenina's memorable answer was filled with confidence and determination.

Despite her hilariously confident answer, Janina put bashers to shame since she was able to win the Binibining Pilipinas World Crown.

In an exclusive interview with GMA's Jessica Soho, Janina defended herself when she was asked why was she unable to answer the question properly.

According to her, she was unable to hear the question clearly as Tan's voice was very soft. She claims that another factor that contributed to her flustered response was the cheerful crowd that surrounded her during that fateful moment.

Soho also frankly asked her about her English skills. The beauty queen gracefully admitted that she still needs to practice the language as it is one of her weaknesses.

Maxine Medina's Pageant Trainer Said Her Home Field Advantage Was Actually a Disadvantage! WHY? FIND OUT HERE!

This statement was made by Jonas Gaffud, Maxine's official pageant trainer for the 65th Miss Universe competition, during an interview at the post-pageant gala.

Gaffud, the man behind other famous beauty queens like Janine Tugonon, Shamcey Supsup, and Venus Raj, said that the Filipino people's huge expectations of Maxine were too heavy for her to bear. He added that it was especially difficult for her to perform here, where she could hear and feel the hometown crowd's reactions.

"Ang sabi ni Maxine sa akin after, kung hindi lang sa Pilipinas siguro mas kaya niyang lumaban. Nahirapan talaga siya sa pressure." Gaffud said.

When asked why Maxine felt that way, Gaffud pointed at the pressure of having Pinoys putting such high hopes on her.

"Alam mo naman iba ang pressure ng mga Pinoy, 'di ba? So kailangan perfect ka lagi. nahirapan talaga si Maxine."

Netizens all over the Philippines took to social media after being unsatisfied with her response in the question-and-answer portion of the contest. Some even went so far as to bash her for not letting the interpreter translate her answer to English

How Much Did Chavit Singson Spend to Bring the Miss Universe Pageant Here? You Have to See The Numbers For Yourself!

Behind the woman with the crown is the man with the coin-- LCS Group Chief Luis "Chavit" Singson.

As buzz of the pageant dies down, people have become quite curious about how much it truly cost him to host the Ms. Universe pageant here in the Philippines.

For starters, Singson said a non-refundable amount of $1 million has to be paid upfront to the Miss Universe Organization.

He then had to spend $6 million (Php299 million) for the rights to hold the pageant, and another $6 million to pay for the production cost which includes accommodation, transportation, and meals for officials, staff, and the candidates.

Chavit also bought a M/Y Happy Life, a five-floor, 16-room luxury yacht with Jacuzzi and KTV rooms that brought the candidates to and from Batangas and Manila in the pre-pageant phase for $12 million or Php600 million

The 75-year-old, former Ilocos Sur Governor said he can afford it because he has been running business way before he started in politics.

“My father was an engineer. We had a construction [business] when I was born. I worked to make it grow. So [my wealth] came from somewhere," says Singson.

Singson also got into tobacco trading. “That’s how I earned my millions when I was younger. I was able to buy the electrical plant of Vigan when I was only 23 or 24 years old.”

He added that his “net revenues amount to about Php120 million a month" and that he has "many businesses that earn millions.”

“The construction, I make billions; the transportation, I’m netting around Php100 million a month; I’ve earned Php1 billion from that in previous years, just for transportation."

His other businesses include an upcoming commercial airline for domestic and international flights, a growing chain of banks in Puerto Rico, Los Angeles and Mexico called Vigan Banco International, and a new sports gear line from Europe.

And then there's Baluarte, an 80-hectare wildlife sanctuary that has become a famous tourist spot in his home province, Ilocos Sur.

Chavit was awarded his very own Mr. Universe sash at the post-pageant gala at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The token was given to him for his generosity.

HEARTBREAKING! Judy Ann's Nanny Just Passed Away 'Mahal Na Mahal Kita Nanay Binay Ko.'

Behind every famous star lies a group of supportive people - from family members to longtime helpers.

In ABS-CBN star Judy Ann Santos' case, it was her nanny.

Sabina Domanagas Quintana, fondly known as Nanay Binay, died on January 31 this morning.

ABS-CBN News reported that Nanay Binay died of complications brought about by cancer at the age of 69. Judy Ann relayed the news on her Instagram page, saying "Mami-miss ko lambing mo pag binibisita mo kami. Ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit andito ako ngayon."

HEARTBREAKING! Judy Ann's Nanny Just Passed Away 'Mahal Na Mahal Kita Nanay Binay Ko.'

Nanay Binay recently celebrated her 69th birthday last Monday in the hospital where she was confined. She was initially a cook in the Santos household before becoming Juday's nanny. When Carol, Juday's mother, worked abroad, Nanay Binay was the one who took care of her and her siblings.

According to Carol, Nanay Binay wouldn't eat until her children have already eaten. "Kaya nung umalis ako wala akong sinabihan sa mga kamag-anak ko, siya talaga. Kung wala si Binay 'di din ako aalis kasi wala akong mapagkakatiwalaan sa mga bata," she said.

When Judy Ann was just starting her career in showbiz, it was Nanay Binay who accompanied her throughout the journey. Her mother continued by saying, "Siya yung matiyagang nagdadala sa mga taping. Saka si Judy Ann nalibot niya ang buong sulok ng Pilipinas dahil kay Binay."

Juday began acting at the tender age of seven but got broke through into the mainstream in 1998 when she portrayed the leading role in 'Esperanza.' The role earned her the moniker the 'Soap Opera Princess' as dubbed by the press.

WATCH HERE! Vice Ganda Answers the Maxine Medina's Controversial Question in the Q&A Portion!

Maxine Medina drew lots of ire from people, especially her critics, when she refused to have a translator for the Question and Answer portion of Miss Universe 2016. When she finally answered the question posed to her on the coronation day itself, people were unforgiving-- for many, her answer didn't make sense and were of the opinion that she should've stuck with an interpreter instead.

Steve Harvey asked: What is the most significant change you've seen in the world in the last 10 years? To which Maxine answered: In the last 10 years of being here in the world, I saw all the people [brought] in one event like this in Miss Universe. It’s something big to us that we are one. As one nation, we are all together. Thank you. Maraming salamat po.

Many people, especially the Filipinos, criticized her for giving such a vague and unsubstantial answer. The beauty queen told her bashers that they should just "move on" because the event has already happened. She was able to reach the Top 6 of the pageant.

Vice Ganda, meanwhile, gave what should've been Maxine's answer to the question. According to ABS-CBN Entertainment, the comedienne-host appeared in 'Tonight with Boy Abunda' and began with, "I will try to answer that in Tagalog" with a laugh.

He continued, "Kunwari may interpreter talaga... Naniniwala po ako na ang pinakamalaking pagbabago na kinaharap ng mundo..." then Boy proceeded to translate it, saying "The biggest change that happened in the world..."

Vice continued, "Nung nakalipas 'yung sampung taon at kinakaharap pa rin ng mundo ngayon, sa kasalukuyan..." then Boy translated it again, saying, "That happened in the last ten years and the world continues to face until this very moment..."

"Ay ang pagbabago mismo sa ating mga sarili," Vice proceeded. "Dahil sa ating labis labis na pagkamuhaling sa social media."

The whole audience clapped and cheered with his answer and the comedienne continued saying, "Dahil sa ating labis labis na pagkamuhaling sa social media ay nagagamit natin ito upang abusuhin ang ating kalayaan nang sa ganon ay mapagpalaganap ng muhi sa bawat isa."

"Ang ganda naman!" Boy quipped. The audience cheered once more. Watch the whole interview here!

Notorious Bisaya Annabelle Rama Has Some Surprising Things to Say to Maxine Medina!

The Miss Universe hype is almost nearing its end, but some prominent personalities are still very vocal about their comments and opinions.

One of these is Gutierrez matriatch Annabelle Rama, who was asked on what she had to say about Maxine Medina's performance

Known for being brutally frank and honest, the ever so feisty and controversial Rama said, "kasi mali siya eh. Nag-interpreter tapos hindi naman niya ginamit. Nag-Ingles-Ingles siya mali-mali pa."

She also said that if she were Medina she would use Bisaya and just let the interpreter translate it for her.

"Kung ako yan, Bisayain ko silang lahat."

She hoped that Medina made full use of her interpreter to her advantage. She also said that Medina could have had a better winning chance, if only she did this.

Rama was present at yesterday's Miss Universe coronation held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
