ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel, brings pride to the country after winning in the prestigious New York Festivals while also dominating the news categories in the academe-based 15th Gawad Tanglaw Awards this year, further stampingit’s mark as the gold standard in Philippine news.
ABS-CBN Integrated News & Current Affairs head Ging Reyes accepted the Bronze Medal for the ANC documentary “Warmer,” which won a Bronze Medal in the climate change and sustainability category in this year’s New York Festivals International TV and Film Awards, a day after ANC’s six trophy-haul in Gawad Tanglaw last April 25.

The country’s first 24/7 English language news channel garnered recognitions including Best Public Affairs Program for “Beyond Politics” hosted by Lynda Jumilla-Abalos, Best Business Program for “On the Money” hosted by Edric Mendoza and Salve Duplito,“Business Nightly,” anchored by Cathy Yang, internationally-acclaimed documentary series “Mukha” (Best Documentary Program), while Best Sports Program went to “Hardball,” hosted by Boyet Sison and Bill Velasco.

“Executive Class,” hosted by David Celdran, was also tied with “Cityscape,” hosted by Marie Lozano for the Best Lifestyle Program award. “Greenliving,” anchored by Paolo Abrera also won Best Educational Program.
ANC launched its new lineup of programs early this year headlined by the new morning show “Early Edition,” primetime regional news program “The Bureau,” and the daily sports newscast “Gametime,” to provide viewers with the latest news and relevant information throughout the day.
