Yasmien Kurdi Is Lucky To Have Both Her Love Life And Career Doing Exceedingly Well

YASMIEN KURDI is very grateful to all the viewers who made her new afternoon show, “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka”, a big success in the ratings. But that the show is a hit does not really come as a surprise as Yasmien’s previous afternoon drama shows, “Yagit” and “Sa Piling ni Nanay”, are also topraters that were both extended for several months.

“I’m also thankful to the writers of GMA because they’ve come up with another memorable character in the role I now play as Thea,” she says.

She says she herself pities the character she plays. As an actress, isang balde na yata ang luhang lumabas sa mga mata ko dahil halos every other scene, umiiyak si Thea, but it’s all worth it, kahit matuyuan na ako ng luha at laging magdamagan pa ang taping.”

So how does she make herself effective as Thea? “What I do is I forget that I’m Yasmien Kurdi. I put myself in the background and then I put myself in the shoes of my character mismo. That way, mas ramdam na ramdam ko ang bawat eksena niya.”

Yasmien is one of the few stars who are successful in both their life and career. Off cam, she’s happily married to her pilot husband, Rey Soldevilla, and with their cute daughter, Ayesha. She has her own fan base and we believe that if she’d be given the right break, she can also successfully branch out into making well received drama movies.
